Carrier Oils for your Skin Type
What are carrier oils?
Since then, I have learned a lot about different carrier oils and can proudly say that using a carrier oil in your daily skin care regime is a game changer.
I want to assure you that putting natural oil on your face is a good thing that the commercial skin care industry doesn't want you to know.
Carrier oils are extremely beneficial and are a natural way to deliver fatty acids and nutrients to your skin without clogging your pores. The technical term is non-Comedogenic.
They possess properties that help to heal the skin (you may already have some of these oils in your kitchen).
These oils can be used alone or in combination with other carrier oils.
Carrier oils are also used to ‘carrier’ or dilute essential oils because essential oils are extremely concentrated substances that can not be applied undiluted on the skin.
In a nut shell, the role of carrier oils is to help dilute all essential oils.
Or, you can use a carrier oil to dilute one of many essential oils to handle most of your skincare needs.
There are a lot of carrier oils to choose from and they all are beneficial to your skin.
All of them will hydrate, protect your skin from the elements, and make your skin have a beautiful glow. They are great moisturizers.
They fill in all the skin cracks and feed the skin with essential nutrients to help it regenerate itself. They also seal in the water, giving your skin a fresh glow.
Finding the best carrier oil for your skin type will help improve the texture of your skin, balance oil production, and help reduce aging. When you find the correct oil for your specific skin type, you will not have to worry about clogged pores or oily skin.

Details on my favorite carrier oils
1. Jojoba Oil:
I use this everyday to moisturize, wash my face and to remove makeup!
Jojoba looks and feels like an oil, but it is actually a liquid wax ester which is almost identical to our skins sebum.
The oil can dissolve sebum and carry ingredients deep into the skin. It contains anti-inflammatory properties and is light-weight so it absorbs quickly into the skin.
The benefits of using this oil include: Promotes glowing, silky skin, keeps oil levels balanced, non-comedogenic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, rich in vitamin E, fights free radicals, and naturally blocks out harmful UV light. You can grab your jojoba oil here.
2. Avocado Oil:
I love using this oil durning the cold/dry seasons because it is such an effective moisturizer.
Avocado oil promotes a glowing complexion, hydrates, contains omega fatty acids, soothes irritated skin, protects against free radicals, is high in vitamins A, B, and C, increases collagen production, and helps with sun damage.
It’s healing properties are wonderful for eczema and other forms of skin inflammation. You can grab your avocado oil here.
3.Sweet Almond Oil
It is rich in anti-oxidants, stops free radical damage, protects against UV rays, treats dry skin conditions, helps with dark circles, locks moisture in the skin, promotes smooth, silky, glowing skin and is enriched with vitamins A, E, and B.
It feels very light on your skin and quickly absorbs.
Due to its high content of vitamin E, it can help to even out skin tone and increase circulation to your skin, giving you a blemish-free appearance. You can grab your sweet almond oil here.
